Liberated Futures Lab will be a land-based STEAM educational and collaborative research model for community development, economic equity, intercultural and intertribal knowledge, cultural arts, collective solutions, and climate resilience.
The project will be a safe an inclusive space that is co-stewarded by Black, Indigenous People of Color and our organizations, other frontline communities and allied partners.
We intend to purchase agricultural land with some infrastructure to get programs started. This will be our collaborative proof of concept site in Humboldt County, California. The property will be held in a community land trust to be environmentally protected in perpetuity.
