Summer 2026 Information
Theme: "Plantcestors: African, Caribbean & Indigenous Foodways
CFN Programs are for BIPOC Transition Age "TAY" Youth (14-24), ongoing POP Fellows & Volunteers
Garden Volunteer Hours in Bayside, CA (contact above)
The program is free for all participants.
TAY Youth stipends at end of program, are dependent on available funds and participation.
Land Stewardship & Foodways:
We will learn about agroecology, ethnobotany, cultural foodways, land stewardship, climate resilience and food sovereignty
All skill levels are welcome
Schedule:
Sunday June 21st- Summer Solstice and Juneteenth BBQ (Program Launch)
Saturdays June 27th through August 8th - 10am-3pm
Weekly optional drop-in volunteer hours (optional)
August 14th to 16th- BREAK for Salmon Fest
Sat August 22nd- End of Season Event

The Cultural Foodways Network provides community vocational training, community classes, events, food justice and mutual aid.
Our summer sessions are vocational training programs for TAY youth and adults with disabilities in sustainable agriculture. We will provide farm to table cultural foodway classes and vocational training to underserved youth and communities. The project will covers healthy food, basic life skills, vocational training, safe learning spaces and cultural placemaking for BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ and students with Disabilities.
